BONGAIGAON: A two-day long multi-disciplinary Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) sponsored National Seminar will be held at Bongaigaon College, Bongaigaon on June 25 and June 26 in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college, informed Dr Dinesh Das, principal and chairman of the organizing committee.
The central theme of the seminar is 'Quality Concern in Higher Education: A view from India'. Seminar papers are invited by the organizing committee from university/college teachers, research scholars, students and academicians on its sub- themes, which are Universalization of Higher Education, Rashtriya Ucchatar Siksa Abhiyan and National Knowledge Commission, Gender Issues in Higher Education, Quality and Employability in Higher Education, Total Quality Management in Higher Education and the Role of NAAC, Emerging Web Technology and Education, Professional Development of Teachers at Higher Education, Academic Performance Indicators and Carrier Advanced Schemes, Innovative Approaches to Knowledge Management, IPR , Media and Education, ICT Enabled Education, E-learning and Virtual Education, Objective and Descriptive based Education, Open Book Examination, External and Internal Assessment, Stress Free Evaluation and E-examination choice-based credit system.
The keynote speech of the seminar will be delivered by Dr Sandeep Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Education, Delhi University. Dr Purobi Baishya, Associate Professor, Department of Education, Guwahati, University, Dr Debarati Talukdar, Deputy Controller of Examination, Guwahati University, Dr Mridula Devi, Associate Proffessor, Department of Economics, Bodoland University will be distinguished speakers/chairpersons of the seminar.
